The PCN is based in Swindon supporting over 27,500 patients.We are high performing practices with a strong ethos of continuity of patient care, teamwork and peer support. Maximise the effective use of current clinical computer systems. Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to an agreed standard.Compile and issue computer generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding handwritten prescriptions whenever possible).To take part in areas including clinical auditing and data collection.Contribute to QOF and IIF requirements and recording data appropriatelyAttend team meetings and other clinical meetings as necessary.In general, the post holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working with primary care, as set by the Royal College of General Practitioners, General Medical Council, all other Royal Colleges and Councils applicable to the staff within the Practice, Department of Health, ICB, CQC, and all other regulatory and standard-setting organisations.About us

The Core activities of the General Medical PractitionerProvide a full range of medical services as defined in the core GMS contract, additional and enhanced services where appropriate.Provide other personal medical services to meet identified patients need.Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare professionals within the organisation.Assess the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.Develop care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice; disease management protocols, provide counselling and health education.Work within current ICB policy for prescribing.Person Specification

Professional standing and Other Requirements

Not be prohibited from providing services due to regulation breaches (e.g., NHS Performers Lists Regulations).Not be suspended from practice by the NHS or from the GMCs list of medical practitioners.Not be subject to any interim suspension orders from the GMC under section 41A of the Medical Act 1983.Have the legal right to work in the UK.Hold appropriate medical indemnity insurance covering all professional duties.Successfully complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.Possess a valid digital badge for secure system access and patient care delivery.Be willing to engage in ongoing professional development as required.Qualifications

Registration and Certification:Be included in NHS England list of medical practitioners as per section 91 of the NHS Act 2006.Hold full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) on the General Practitioner Register.Experience
