We are a practice of 19,000 patients across 2 sites in Ware (Church Street Surgery) and Hertford (Castlegate Surgery), Hertfordshire.We are dynamic, supportive and forward-thinking team. We are a teaching and training practice, with partners teaching GP trainees and involved in Cambridge Medical School student teaching.Main duties of the job
In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake duties including surgery consultations, telephone/video consultations and queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashionMaking professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the practice or external organisationsAssessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problemsEffectively manage own time, workload and resourcesScreening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illnessDeveloping care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocolsAdmitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriateRecording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standardsContributing to QOF requirements and recording data appropriatelyContributing to PCN requirements and recording data appropriatelyCompiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptionsPrescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate and review as and when requiredAbout us

Qualifications
GMC Registered MBBS or equivalent medical degree Inclusion on the Performers List Medical Indemnity Experience with British Health Care and Primary Care Systems Enhanced DBS CheckMRCGP SystmOne clinical systemDisclosure and Barring Service Check
