Known for its agile operations and entrepreneurial culture, Brothers combines modern manufacturing capability with a sharp commercial edge — making it an exciting environment for professionals who thrive on delivering results in a dynamic FMCG setting.The roleBased on site in Shepton Mallet, the Head of Finance will be ensuring the smooth running of finance at BD, supporting the CFO in delivering strong financial stewardship and modernisation. Ensuring strong accuracy and compliance with a particular focus on Revenue and COGs in a high-volume manufacturing and brands business.About youThis opportunity will suit a proactive, qualified accountant with several years post-qualified experience in similar hands-on technical accounting roles. You will have worked in a growing business in the manufacturing and/or retail/consumer trading sectors and be confident managing financial change.As a Head of Finance your role will include but not be limited to :Own the day to day running of finance, pushing our cultural behaviours and helping to create a performance driven mentalityLead, develop and coach the core finance team to ensure they meet business and personal goalsPlay a key role in developing a culture of continuous improvement and right first-time business wide.Ensuring accurate calculation and recording of Revenue and COGsEnsuring accurate and complete stock management, including delivery of the annual stock take processAssist in driving a greater focus on cash management, reporting and performance in a highly cash rich business, bring greater ROCE/ROI focusSupporting and working with the Finance Business Partner (Brands) on own-brand profitability.Develop and own the month end and year end close processesWork with team to deliver comprehensive reporting that empowers the wider business with actionable insightPartner the CFO to develop and implement a powerful suite of Board reporting material.Build and direct a modern and effective budgeting and forecasting processStewardship and protection of all shareholder assetsPartner with department heads and the Board, providing on-going insight into past and future financial information, ensuring ‘no surprises’ and driving performance/continuous improvementEnsuring that the team lives and breathes our cultural behaviours and helping to create a performance driven mentalitySupport the Payroll and HR teams in delivery of accurate submissions, reporting suite and labour cost controlAny and all duties as needed to support an agile and entrepreneurial business to succeedWhat the client has to offerCompetitive salary (DOE)Pension to match up to 5%3 days in office / 2 days from homeIf you are interested in discussing this role, please reach out to
