Base pay range

Location:

Park Place, West Yorkshire

Hours:

36 hours per week

Salary:

£25,927.20 per annum / £13.85 per hour + £15.35 overtime + £55 per sleep shift + On-Call paid £35 pw

Shifts:

11-hour shifts (7:45 am - 8 pm), 3-4 days per week, every other weekend

Rotas:

Confirmed 3 weeks in advance, subject to service needs

Senior Mental Health Support Worker

to join our 10-bed rehabilitation service,

Park Place , in Leeds. This residential service focuses on providing a step-down facility, helping individuals transition towards independent living.

As a Senior Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting residents to live as independently as possible while achieving their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities

Support and supervise Recovery Support Workers in assisting residents with daily living tasks to promote independence.

Provide personal care and ensure high-quality care delivery in line with evidence-based practices.

Act as a role model and take responsibility for the unit in the absence of management.

Mentor new staff and participate in ongoing staff development through supervision and training.

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the well-being of service users is at the forefront of care.

Facilitate recovery-focused activities and support residents in achieving their personal goals.

Handle medication and maintain accurate care records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Requirements

Experience working with individuals with mental health issues.

A strong understanding of care plans and risk assessments.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

A commitment to promoting recovery and social inclusion.
