Hospitality Assistant

Position Summary:
The Hospitality Assistant plays a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality food, beverage, and event services. You will work as part of the hospitality team to ensure events and day-to-day service areas are presented to a high standard, food and drink are served professionally, and guests have a positive and welcoming experience.Key Responsibilities:
Operational Support
Assist in the setup, delivery, and breakdown of events and hospitality servicesEnsure service areas are kept clean, tidy, and well-presented at all timesFollow instructions from supervisors and managers to support smooth serviceRestock and organize supplies as needed, including drinks, cutlery, and condimentsAssist with basic food handling and portioning under guidanceCustomer Service
Greet and serve customers in a friendly and professional mannerRespond to customer needs or requests promptly and politelyMaintain a high level of discretion, courtesy, and service awarenessReport customer feedback to the Hospitality Supervisor or ManagerHealth, Safety and Hygiene
Follow all food hygiene, health and safety, and cleaning protocolsEnsure all work areas, serving stations, and equipment are kept clean and safeWear correct uniform and PPE at all times as requiredParticipate in cleaning duties and follow cleaning schedulesTeamwork
Collaborate with kitchen, events, and front-of-house staff to deliver seamless serviceCommunicate effectively and positively with team members and supervisorsAttend mandatory training and team briefings as requiredOther Duties
Support ad hoc tasks as required by supervisors or managersAssist with stock counts, waste control, and equipment storageRemain flexible and responsive to changes in service needs or event demandsKey Skills and Attributes:
Friendly and professional approach to customer serviceBasic food handling awareness (training provided)Good communication and teamwork skillsHigh standards of cleanliness and personal hygieneAttention to detail and ability to follow instructionsAbility to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekendsPhysical stamina to stand for long periods and carry light loadsDesirable Experience:
Previous experience in a hospitality, catering, or events roleKnowledge of food safety and hygiene practicesExperience working in a fast-paced customer-facing environment
