Leads on the collation and presentation of the monthly payroll information and provides a full communication path to the Managed Service provider, ADP.Who You AreTaking a lead role in the collation of all payroll information on the ADP system, and liaison with the new provider and the current Managed Service provider, ADP.Collating variable pay details and adjustments for the monthly payroll and checking of monthly payroll reporting from ADP and subsequently the new system, ensuring all deadlines are met.Running the full new end to end biweekly payroll for hourly paid employees once the new payroll system is live.Running and distributing draft monthly payroll reports to business units.Variance analysis of month-on-month gross and net pay differences.Prompt and accurate handling of all internal and external queries.Maintaining control schedules for season ticket loans, cycle-to-work loans and advances.Dealing with queries from HMRC, the pension scheme, auditors or external advisers.Running and importing the monthly interface from the time and attendance system.Completion of monthly auto-enrolment reporting to Scottish Widows.Preparation and distribution of scheduled and ad-hoc reporting.Preparation of payment request forms for taxation and pension contributions and for assisting the Accounts team with reconciliations and payroll-related journals.Continual review and documentation of processes and procedures to ensure the payroll function operates in accordance with best practice.Training of relevant Company personnel in payroll processes and procedures.Completing Payroll related surveys received from the Office of National Statistics.Other ad hoc duties as required by the Group Finance Controller, the Human Resources Director or other senior management.You Will HaveA professional payroll qualification OR substantial experience in working in a payroll department.A good knowledge of HR processes that naturally link into payroll.A strong working knowledge of current payroll legislation.A supporter of change and transformation with a hunger to add real value; improving processes, shortening reporting cycles and improving accuracy.Proven track record of taking pride in your work and caring about the accuracy and reliability of the end product being delivered.A positive attitude, a proactive approach and a can-do mindset.Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.Excellent communication skills including oral and written communications between departments, peers and superiors, supported by tact and diplomacy.Able to maintain strict confidentially of payroll and HR information at all times.Good technical skills, including proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP and similar functions).Able to follow process and strictly adhere to Company policies.Highly numerate and appreciative of the importance of accurate and reliable data in the context of company decision making processes.A dedicated, hard-working and flexible approach, including the ability to work extra hours when required.Proven track record of being able to work unsupervised and being able to prioritise workload and multi-task in line with the needs of the business.Previous experience with ADP iHCM2 and Dayforce.Please Note: You must be aged 18 or above and have the right to work in the UK.
