Senior Legal Counsel (Clinical and Corporate) to join our Legal team and play a pivotal role in supporting our strategic goals while managing risk and ensuring compliance. Reporting to the Chief Legal and Governance Officer, you’ll be part of a friendly, forward-thinking team in a dynamic organisation that values development and innovation.Responsibilities

Advise on legal, regulatory, and governance matters across our Hospitals and Clinical teams, including CMA compliance.

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and clinical contracts (e.g. NHS and private medical insurer agreements).

Support corporate transactions such as acquisitions, disposals, and strategic collaborations.

Enhance governance and compliance through policy development and risk mitigation.

Deliver in-house training and legal updates to clinical and hospital teams.

Monitor legislative developments and advising on their impact.

Deputise for the Chief Legal and Governance Officer on charity and company secretarial matters.

Manage relationships with external legal advisors.

Qualifications

A UK-qualified solicitor or barrister with at least 10 years’ PQE, ideally gained in healthcare law within an in-house or specialist private practice setting.

Strong regulatory and compliance expertise, ideally in healthcare.

Experience with NHS contracting and commercial agreements.

Corporate transactional knowledge.

Ability to translate complex legal issues into practical business advice.

Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

A proactive, pragmatic, and commercially astute mindset.

Confidence working independently in a fast-paced environment.
