Test and Development Technician

Location: Wokingham, Berkshire, RG41 2QY 
Salary: £24,570 - £28,000 per annum depending on experience
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday 8.30am-5pm

Job Purpose: 

An exciting position has become available for a full time Test and Development Technician to join a friendly team mostly based in Wokingham. Occasionally visits to the offices in Bedford, Manchester and other sites will be required.

Role Responsibilities:

• Setting up test rigs and conducting testing such as cycle tests, release forces, abuse, and any other adhoc testing
• Assembling and installing locks for test
• Maintaining test lab, equipment and calibration
• Working in accordance with test standards and quality procedures
• Assisting with design of test equipment and test methods
• Writing up testing reports
• Feedback test results to the design and production teams to assist product research, design and development
• Plus, any other tasks applicable to your role and experience as requested by Managers/Director

Role Requirements:

• Hands on engineering background ideal
• Practical tradesman skills to fit and assemble test rigs
• Computer literate, experienced in Microsoft Office
• Organized & tidy with good attention to detail
• Proactive, driven and dynamic with a can-do attitude. 
• Good communication, flexibility and a team player.
