Overview
Senior/Principal Consultant-Benefits Management and RE Strategy (AFM) role at Turner and Townsend. This position focuses on benefits management, business case development, and real estate strategy for Defence, Healthcare, and related sectors. Reporting to the Benefits Management Lead, the role involves leading and supporting multiple projects, independently or within a multidisciplinary team.Responsibilities
Lead and support on client projects, manage own workload, and work both independently and within a multi-disciplinary team.Develop and analyse benefits data, translate it into baselines, targets and KPIs, and prepare client-ready presentations.Engage with client leadership to develop options, finalise project concepts, and prepare final documents for client approval.Coordinate with the wider Advisory team to develop a thought leadership strategy and promote the Benefits Management consulting offer.Identify Benefits Management and wider Real Estate consulting opportunities; contribute to bid proposals.Manage commissions to meet fee objectives, organise resources, and oversee invoicing.Implement regular client communications regarding project progress.Your Background
Experience in Benefits Management in a major programme or portfolio environment.Experience on built environment projects as a senior consultant or project manager.Consultative background in Strategic Estates or Business Case authoring.Experience on transformational programmes and projects in public or private sectors, with focus on defence, healthcare or government.Skills
Knowledge of Benefits within the project outcomes and Business Case context; governance and reporting at programme/portfolio level.Strategic planning and project management proficiency; excellent time management across multiple projects.Strong written and verbal communication skills; client-facing presence with senior leaders.Interpersonal skills, customer service orientation, and ability to adapt best practices to client needs.Data analysis, critical thinking, and ability to present concise solutions; proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment and independently or in a team.Qualifications
5+ years in Benefits Management, Business Case compilation, Defence major initiatives, or Business Analysis.Degree preferred but not mandatory.One or more: PRINCE2, MSP, MRICS, APM, Better Business Cases, or other professional qualifications.Experience in project management or real estate consulting projects; experience with technology and data in benefits/real estate domains.Experience engaging with stakeholders in complex environments.Additional Information
