Job Title: Behaviour Mentor / SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Enfield, North London Start Date: January 2026 Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Salary: 95 - 125 per day (PAYE, dependent on experience)Behaviour Mentor - Secondary SEMH School, EnfieldTradewind Recruitment are working with a specialist Secondary SEMH School in Enfield that supports pupils aged 11 to 16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ADHD, Autism, and associated behavioural challenges. The school provides a therapeutic and structured learning environment where staff work collaboratively to help students re-engage with education and build positive relationships.We are seeking a resilient, confident and Team Teach-trained Behaviour Mentor to join their dedicated staff team from January 2026.The RoleProvide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH and behavioural needsUse Team Teach de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviour safelyEncourage positive behaviour, resilience and emotional regulationWork closely with teachers, pastoral staff and therapists to deliver individualised supportFoster a calm, respectful and inclusive classroom environmentWhat We''re Looking ForPrevious experience supporting young people with SEMH or behavioural needs (ideally in a PRU or SEMH setting)Team Teach certification - essential (or willingness to refresh training)Calm, empathetic and professional approach under pressureStrong communication and teamwork skillsEnhanced DBS on the Update S
