Your ImpactYou will be based in our London office and will be part of the Growth, Marketing and Sales Practice. The practice helps clients in consumer and business-to-business environments on marketing and sales topics, with a mission to drive marketing-driven profit growth.

You’ll focus on developing marketing and sales strategies for leading companies across major industries, including consumer goods, financial services, retail, telecommunications, global energy and materials, and AI. Our clients benefit from expertise in branding, pricing, customer experience, customer lifecycle management, customer insights, marketing ROI, digital marketing, insights and analytics, and sales and channel management.

On a day-to-day basis, you will collaborate with colleagues worldwide and with professionals outside the practice to solve clients’ most complex problems. From day one you will be exposed to senior McKinsey leaders and executive-level clients, and you’ll have opportunities to work on projects beyond digital marketing.

Working closely with clients across major industries, you will help transform marketing strategy and operations to drive growth through digital expertise. This role spans campaigning, journey optimization, personalization, MarTech/AdTech, and data/measurements.

As an Associate, you will build on your previous experience and explore growth, marketing and sales topics new to you. You will receive exceptional training and frequent coaching, with a dedicated partner to help navigate your career and up to five weeks of formal training in your first two years at McKinsey. You’ll also receive guidance from your professional development team in selecting client projects to develop your skills and network.

Responsibilities

Work with client teams to assess, strategize, and implement digital sales strategies. Identify and leverage growth opportunities to drive business objectives.

Manage and optimize launch campaigns across paid and owned channels; design and execute A/B tests to improve conversion rates and analyze performance metrics.

Help clients develop the vision and execute on a plan to implement mar-tech and/or ad-tech platforms that deliver enhanced customer experiences to attract and grow customers using digital marketing strategies and technology.

Apply your subject matter expertise to develop and deliver specific performance marketing strategies and programs that accelerate customer acquisition and value across channels.

Understand client needs to develop use cases and decisions on an ambitious and visionary roadmap.

Size the use cases for business value and feasibility to deliver ROI and prioritize initiatives in areas such as retail media networks, personalization at scale, privacy-safe growth, direct-to-consumer activation, etc.

Gather and analyze information, synthesize data into clear, actionable insights, and present recommendations to senior non-technical stakeholders (e.g., PowerPoint).

Your Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or technology; master’s degree is a plus

5+ years of experience with end-to-end campaign management and media planning, preferably in MarTech and/or paid media

Depth of experience in MarTech tools management and/or implementation (Adobe, Salesforce, Google, Amazon, Oracle, etc.)

Breadth of knowledge across marketing and advertising technology (data, analytics, email, website, CRM, paid media) with depth in at least one area (paid media and/or MarTech)

Understanding of customer experience delivery using personalization and automation supported by a MarTech stack

Experience with digital products and working with in-house teams and external agencies

Ability to prioritize initiatives based on impact/effort in the context of the client’s strategy and capabilities

Entrepreneurial spirit, hands-on attitude, and interest in developing new services and capabilities

Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate complex ideas effectively in English

Willingness to travel
