Client Procurement Manager

to lead procurement services for the

University of Birmingham

and other key clients. This hybrid role blends strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on procurement expertise to deliver best-in-class service.?

Key Responsibilities:Serve as the dedicated procurement lead for UoB, managing supply chain, purchasing, and e-procurement systems (Pi).Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring transparency and performance.Provide on-site support at UoB two days per week, with flexibility for events and projects.Deliver training on Pi systems and support technical tenders with university teams.Identify growth opportunities, benchmark pricing, and negotiate competitive supplier agreements.Lead procurement strategy discussions and ensure successful supplier mobilisations.Drive client retention and intensification strategies, including expansion into non-food categories.?

What You Bring:Account management experience in a foodservice or procurement environment.Strong commercial and financial acumen.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.High proficiency in Excel and analytical thinking.Ability to manage priorities and influence stakeholders.Comfortable with hybrid working and UK travel.?

Desirable Qualifications:CIPS certificationA Levels or equivalent?
