You will enjoy working in a collaborative environment with diverse clients and projects.We are recruiting for Graduates in the following services and locations:Operations and Safety - Policy Monitoring and Evaluation: London, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, GuildfordOperations and Safety - Tunnel Systems and Operations: Guildford, Bristol or LondonOperations and Safety - Human Centered Design: Liverpool, Manchester, BirminghamSystems and Infrastructure: London, Manchester, BristolLighting and Energy Solutions: Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, London or SouthamptonA Little bit more about your role and the team. WSP is an international leader in intelligent transport systems (ITS). Our Intelligent Infrastructure team improves the operational and safety performance of transportation networks, including human-centered design, connectivity, cyber security, and zero emission vehicles (ZEVs).Projects we work on include Sizewell Nuclear Power Plant, HS2, National Highways, Local Authority active travel schemes and Metro link projects, A303 Stonehenge tunnel, A83 Rest and Be Thankful debris flow shelter, Dartford Tunnel, and Medway Tunnel.Our Intelligent Infrastructure Teams include:Human Centered Design: Our experts ensure infrastructure solutions prioritise user safety and efficiency, providing supporting research and analysis to shape robust systems in highways and beyond. Day-to-day: applying principles of human factors, ergonomics and behaviour change; undertaking research design, execution and reporting; user identification and profiling; Human Factors assessments; supporting client proposals.Policy Monitoring and Evaluation: Supports transport clients with monitoring and evaluation to provide evidence on what works and why, delivering tailored solutions for central and local government projects. Day-to-day: designing monitoring and evaluation frameworks; stakeholder interviews; data analysis; collaborating with internal teams; client proposals.Tunnel Systems and Operations: Delivers tunnel asset capability with safety and operations focus. Day-to-day: preparing design drawings and documentation; client meetings; industry research; cross-disciplinary collaboration; site visits; client proposals.Systems and Infrastructure: Delivers road network technology and infrastructure; day-to-day: delivering technology solutions to manage road networks; testing new traffic control technologies.Lighting and Energy Solutions: Projects across Lighting and Electrical capabilities; development opportunities including Institution of Lighting Professionals Exterior Lighting Diploma; day-to-day: data gap analysis; project administration; stakeholder engagement; reporting including carbon assessments and cost/benefit calculations; 2D/3D CAD design.Graduate Development Programme: Our two-year programme supports personal and professional development with core training, workshops, mentoring for professional registration and on-the-job experience. We encourage chartered status with bodies such as IET or ILP and support enrolment in professional training agreements.What we will be looking for you to demonstrate: you’ll have graduated with at least a 2:2 in a master’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject. You will also be able to meet the following requirements: fill out the application form in full and complete the online skill enabler assessment; start work in April or September 2026; show passion for engineering and consulting; understanding of complex and safety-critical systems; interest in the built environment, infrastructure and design systems; enthusiasm for creativity and problem solving.
