A fantastic school in Wantage are on the hunt for a Learning Support Assistant to join their team starting as soon as possible.

This is a great opportunity for individuals who are looking for a role where they can gain valuable experience working whilst also benefiting from the added bonus of having a fulfilling job!

The opportunity as a Learning support assistant:

• You will engage with and support learners who are struggling in the classroom with their course work.
• Many of these children come from difficult backgrounds where they have struggled with stress, anxiety and learning difficulties. as you can imagine concentrating and staying focused can be extremely challenging
• Your job will be to support these learners during the school day and help them stay on task
• Not only will you be there for them academically, you will also support the students emotionally and help them process their emotions in a healthy way

The successful Learning Support Assistant:

• You should be passionate about making a difference and helping these children achieve their goals
• You must be patient and proactive
• You must have some experience working with children, either in a classroom or other capacity
• You must have a valid DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one

Individuals who are working towards a career in psychology, education or any other related field are most welcome to apply. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience working with vulnerable children.
