Imagine loving what you do and where you do it.Job CategoryUnderwritingTarget Openings1What Is the Opportunity?We are looking for an Onshore Renewable Energy Underwriter to join our Renewable Energy Underwriting team in London. You will support the management of the book''s profitability by underwriting and processing new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments, as well as monitoring rate adequacy.Travelers Europe offers a hybrid work arrangement: three days in the office and two days remote, subject to policy changes.What Will You Do?Support profitability, growth, and retention of the line of business, ensuring all underwriting initiatives are consistent.Ensure business is written according to company policies, procedures, and controls, including audit and Lloyds standards.Develop assigned lines of business through research, competitor analysis, and industry insights.Utilize systems for accurate data entry and reporting.Gather data and prepare reports to support underwriting policies and standards.Monitor market factors and develop new opportunities.Promote Travelers'' underwriting philosophy and build strong relationships with agents, brokers, and customers.Provide guidance, mentoring, and coaching to team members.Maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards, including Sarbanes-Oxley and Lloyd''s guidelines.Deliver high-quality service and develop external stakeholder relationships.Adhere to company policies and maintain transaction records.Seek continuous improvement.Perform other duties as assigned.What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?Experience in Lloyd''s market and underwriting.Relevant degree and progressing towards ACII qualification.Technical proficiency and sound decision-making skills.Knowledge of finance, product, and business factors affecting underwriting.Strong relationship management, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.What is a Must Have?Experience in Property and Casualty insurance, either underwriting, operational, or broker roles.Secondary education or equivalent.What Is in It for You?Private medical insurance with options for dependents.Retirement plan with company contributions.Minimum of 25 days holiday, with options to purchase additional days.Wellness programs and mental health resources.Volunteer and community engagement opportunities.Employment PracticesTravelers is an equal opportunity employer.
