You will report to the Head of Casualty, London.The main purpose of your role is negotiating, underwriting, and maintaining a profitable portfolio of business to meet budgetary requirements, as well as researching new business opportunities to develop a quality book of business.ResponsibilitiesUnderwrite business in accordance with the business plan as well as personal authority to meet business objectives whilst acting with integrity and following the ‘One SiriusPoint’ ethos.Ensure that SiriusPoint’s Casualty underwriting guidelines, aggregations and risk tolerances are adhered to.Monitor and manage key MI such as premium, losses and exposures to provide accurate information for key stakeholders both internally and externally.Work with other senior staff to provide training for junior team members.Working with Brokers and Insureds to reinforce SiriusPoint Casualty underwriting appetite.Adhere to all relevant regulatory requirements and ensure up to date with all changes.Your skills and abilities should includeCasualty Treaty (London market) or (US or International) Casualty Binder experienceProven underwriting skills in this market, or a clear understanding and pathway from a connected discipline or marketEffective negotiation skills and ability to influence othersAbility to develop and maintain effective working relationshipsAnalytical, problem solving and decision-making skillsExcellent working knowledge of the Lloyd’s market and/or company marketEducated to ACII (or equivalent) level ideallyWhy should you join SiriusPoint?Our people are our experts, and from day one you will be empowered to apply your expertise in a supportive, collaborative and purposeful environment.
