Overview

We\''re looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our London and North region who will be responsible for leading and managing a project delivery team. Key aspects of the role are to build and develop the project team, manage relationships with the Client and stakeholders, and be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the project in terms of cost, value, schedule, safety, quality, environment and stakeholders. You will strive to maximise profit whilst endeavouring to exceed all client expectations. Responsible for defining and communicating project objectives and constraints and complying with health, safety and environmental legislation, thereby delivering the end product on time, within budget and to the agreed quality.About you

You\''ll display enthusiasm, passion, and confidence combined with an open communication style, comfortable leading presentations, team briefings, and chairing meetings on site. With your proven track record of working for a major Tier 1 contractor in the UK, you\''ll aim to maximise profit whilst endeavouring to exceed client expectations.Responsibilities

Managing the finances (revenue, costs, and cash flow) of the project.Managing operational communications and relationships with customers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders for the project.Providing regular, accurate, consolidated reports and forecasts for the project to the regional executive team.Maintaining a clear management structure and ensuring individuals are aware of what is expected of them and assign responsibilities.Employ additional resources as required; develop individuals through coaching and training; manage employee conflict.Management of information, including management of designers and direction for the design manager; production of information required schedules and monitoring; dissemination of information to relevant parties.Build working relationships with peers and colleagues in VINCI; foster knowledge sharing, learning and development, and collaboration across projects and sectors; understand BIM and its value within the organisation.Procurement of materials, plant and sub-contractors to meet targets; ensure appropriate quality; ensure works are undertaken in accordance with all HSandE legislation and site Health and Safety and Environmental Plans; review Health and Safety and investigate incidents with summaries and recommendations.Maintain adherence to budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards; identify elements likely to give rise to disputes and claims; mitigate legal issues and defects liability for the business; communicate effectively with contractors; decide on solutions to major issues and challenges.Project Planning: maintain and develop overall strategy, develop plans to achieve goals, ensure construction activities move according to schedule, monitor progress and hold status meetings with sub-teams, review project plans with Contracts Manager monthly.Project Reporting and Cost Management: understand contract mechanisms and cost and programme data; communicate the project\''s financial and contractual position through written reports and in CVR meetings; identify opportunities to manage cost and value for the project.Liaison with client and end users: manage aspirations, resolve queries and complaints, develop relationships for future winning work, report on progress and requirements.Administration: organise time and priorities, ensure project documents are complete, set up project systems and review, procure IT requirements, ensure company procedures are maintained by internal review.Qualifications

Significant experience leading mid to large construction projects with a Tier 1 Main Contractor in the UK from pre-construction through delivery to handover.Relevant qualifications - degree level, or equivalent experience.Demonstrable experience managing project budgets and programmes.Detailed understanding of CDM and health and safety legislation.Expert knowledge of NEC and JCT contract conditions.IT literacy including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Email; experience of using ASTA Power Project or Microsoft Project.SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid; membership of a Professional Body desirable.Operating from our network of offices throughout England and Wales, VINCI Building delivers new build, refurbishment and associated fit-out works, with particular expertise in the education, healthcare, industrial, air, retail, commercial and mixed-use sectors.
