The company operates on a global scale and is recognised for its commitment to compliance and excellence in the legal domain.Job DescriptionThe Interim Legal Counsel - Data Protection will provide international privacy support to the business supporting on product launches. The Interim Legal Counsel - Data Protection will:Provide legal advice on data protection and privacy issues, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.Draft, review, and negotiate data protection agreements and related legal documentation.Support the organisation in responding to data subject access requests and regulatory inquiries.Monitor changes in data protection laws and advise on their impact on business operations.Conduct training sessions to promote awareness of data protection requirements across teams.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data protection best practices.Manage relationships with external legal advisors as required.Assist in the development and maintenance of internal policies and procedures related to data protection.The Successful ApplicantA successful Interim Legal Counsel - Data Protection should have:Proven expertise in data protection laws, including GDPR and other relevant legislation. International exposure would be a real advantage.Must be a qualified Solicitor in England and Wales holding practising certificate.Experience in drafting and negotiating legal documents within the Technology ideally supporting product development in the tech space.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal information.Excellent communication skills to advise stakeholders at all levels effectively.A legal qualification or equivalent professional certification.Familiarity with regulatory bodies and procedures in the UK.Commitment to maintaining a high standard of professional ethics and integrity.What''s on OfferDaily rate of approximately £405 to £495 inside IR35, depending on experience.Opportunity to work in a key legal role within the Technology and Telecoms industry.Collaborative and professional work environment in London.Potential for career development and exposure to complex legal matters.Flexible working arrangements (to be confirmed).
