Teaching Assistant - Supporting Children with Severe and Complex Learning Difficulties (Ages 2-19)
- Location: Ware
- Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only
- Salary: -19,000 - -19,500
- Contract: 34 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time (43.6 weeks per annum)
- Hours: 8:45 to 15:45 pm with a 30-minute lunch break, plus one after-school club per week from 15:30 to 17:15.

We are working with a vibrant and inclusive SEN school catering for pupils aged 2-19 with a range of profound, multiple, and complex needs. We are currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the dedicated team, on a full time and permanent basis.
What You''ll Do:
Support pupils with a wide range of learning, physical, and sensory needs in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment
Assist the class teacher in delivering a highly individualised curriculum tailored to each pupil''s EHCP
Provide personal care, mobility support, and communication assistance as required
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals
Promote positive behaviour and social interaction, fostering each child''s confidence and independence
Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and wellbeing
- You will also be expected to participate in the children''s swimming lesson''s at least once a week
What We''re Looking For:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN, ideally in an education, care or support setting
A patient, compassionate, and proactive attitude
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility and resilience to meet the varied needs of our students
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or willingness to train) are desirable
