My client are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of a high-profile industrial warehouse scheme, with a strong focus on steel frame construction. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic contractor known for delivering high-quality, large-scale industrial and commercial projects.

The Role:

As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day on-site management of the warehouse construction, ensuring programme, quality, safety, and budgetary targets are achieved. You will oversee subcontractors, coordinate with the project team, and report directly to the Project Manager or Contracts Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage site operations from groundworks to steel frame erection and fit-out

• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and suppliers

• Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards

• Maintain site records, progress reports, and health & safety documentation

• Lead daily briefings, toolbox talks, and site inductions

• Liaise with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to resolve site issues

• Monitor and enforce strict HSEQ compliance

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on industrial / commercial builds

• Strong knowledge of steel frame structures and associated construction stages

• SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and First Aid at Work certifications (essential)

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schedules

• Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

• Experience with logistics hubs, distribution centres, or large warehouse schemes

• Temporary works coordinator or Appointed Person qualifications
