PermanentWe are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our Therapies Team and drive forward Royal Trinity’s commitment to ensure safe and outstanding care for our patients, helping them to make the best of every moment.Our team of specialist palliative care Therapists (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, and Complementary Therapy) provide holistic and expert support to patients with progressive and life-limiting illness and those close to them. We care for anyone over the age of 18 with specialist palliative care needs, across three different settings: the inpatient unit, outpatients, and in the community – working across seven London boroughs.This exciting opportunity focuses on providing a Physiotherapy service delivering high quality, evidence-based interventions to support symptom management, promote independence, work towards patient goals, support patients to manage change, and provide specialist support and advice to families and carers.Working collaboratively with all members of the Specialist Palliative Care Team to develop and shape palliative care pathways to deliver excellent patient care and service improvement. We offer great training, support, and development, in addition to an attractive benefits package.Responsibilities of a Band 6 Physiotherapist

Provide a patient-centred specialist Physiotherapy (PT) service to palliative care patients admitted to the inpatient unit (IPU), attending out-patient services, or in the community.Work independently and as a part of the inter-disciplinary team (IDT), applying clinical skills in physiotherapy (PT) including individual and group approaches.Work within the Therapies team as an active member of the IDT, understanding profession-specific roles, liaising, and attending IDT meetings and relevant clinical and case planning meetings.Work closely with other team members and supervise junior staff, including palliative care assistants, students, and volunteers.Contribute to the evaluation and continued development of the Therapies Service in line with departmental and Royal Trinity objectives/work plan.Communicate effectively at every level within the organization and externally, maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues and peers.Skills and Experience Required

Recognized Physiotherapy Degree and up-to-date HCPC registration.Experience in palliative care and across clinical areas such as oncology, neurology, orthopaedics, elderly care, respiratory, rehabilitation, etc.Assessment, treatment intervention, and goal setting skills.Experience with evidence-based practice and outcome measures.Enthusiasm and a flexible attitude to work.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team.Passion for supporting adults with life-limiting conditions and delivering high-quality care.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and good IT skills.Holistic approach to care.Benefits
