Tax Advisory Manager / Senior Manager

OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and proactive Tax Advisory Manager / Senior Manager to join our award winning and growing private client team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with a diverse portfolio of private clients, providing bespoke tax planning and advisory solutions, while also overseeing compliance processes. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, forward-thinking tax advice, as well as supporting the development and mentoring of team members. The role focuses on subjects including succession planning and IHT, trusts, transactions, international and rural matters.
Responsibilities
Deliver tailored personal tax advice to clients, supporting complex issues such as residence and domicile, inheritance tax, capital gains tax, succession planning, trusts, transactions, asset acquisitions, disposals and wealth structuring.
Managing client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser and identifying planning opportunities.
Deliver advisory projects for clients and lead the implementation of tax planning.
Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to provide integrated solutions, including cross-disciplinary projects.
Mentor and supervise others, delegating work effectively and providing regular feedback.
Oversee the preparation and review of personal tax returns to ensure compliance and identify advisory opportunities.
Lead written and oral correspondence with HMRC, including managing enquiries and resolving technical matters.
Support activities through participation in business development opportunities, proposals, client meetings and thought leadership.
Manage budgets, billing and work-in-progress to maintain profitability across your portfolio.

Qualifications
Relevant qualification (CA, ATT, CTA, STEP or equivalent).
Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation, with an advisory mindset and advisory experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – confident in dealing with clients and building relationships.
Project and time management skills, with experience working to tight deadlines and budgets.
Experience advising high-net-worth individuals, business owners, partnerships and/or international clients.
Passionate about developing others and contributing to a positive team culture.
