The Opportunity
You''ll take ownership of company-wide training and development, ensuring that every employee has the skills, support, and confidence to excel in their role. You''ll be supported by a Training Administrator, enabling you to focus on strategic development, programme design, and delivery impact.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a company-wide training and development strategy aligned to business goals.
- Conduct Training Needs Analyses (TNA) and design effective blended learning solutions (online, workshop, and on-the-job).
- Coordinate Toolbox Talks, compliance, and training sessions.
- Support onboarding, induction, and competency frameworks across all departments.
- Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), reporting on KPIs and training outcomes.
- Collaborate with the SHEQ team to ensure all training meets health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Work closely with Heads of Department to identify talent and support succession planning.
- Supervise the Training Administrator and manage training budgets efficiently.
About You
You''re an experienced learning and development professional who can design impactful training and drive engagement at every level. You''ll combine strong communication skills with a practical understanding of engineering or technical environments.
Essential Criteria:
- Recognised Train the Trainer certificate.
- HND/HNC or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, or Health andamp; Safety).
- Minimum 5 years'' experience in a training and development role, ideally within manufacturing or engineering.
- Proven experience designing and delivering blended learning programmes.
- Strong understanding of competency frameworks and compliance training.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, planning, and reporting skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel between company sites.
