Registered Manager – Children’sLocation: Oswestry – ShropshireSalary: Up to £63,650.00 (depending on experience and qualifications)

The organisation operates a number of residential and supported living units across the region with an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Registered Manager within an established 3-bed EBD home.

Children’s Registered Manager: Details

Provide a safe environment for the young people in our care

Good communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships with young people, colleagues, and professionals

Be a good team player to provide a high level of care and achieve positive outcomes

Encourage young people to be motivated and participate in activities, education, and extracurricular activities

Experience of and ability to lead staff teams to provide high-quality care within a residential childcare setting

Knowledge of child development and understanding of the needs of children and young people

Attention to detail in record-keeping and organization for managerial review

Ability to adapt working practices to the ethos of the home

Resilience, motivation, and determination

Ability to adapt to challenging and changing situations

Inclusive approach to all children and young people

Children’s Registered Manager: Skills and Experience

Diploma Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent

Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification or Level 4 Registered Manager Award, or equivalent (Desirable)

Experience in a therapeutic setting

At least 3 years’ experience working with children and young people in a residential environment, including 2 years at a senior level

Experience of Ofsted inspections

Experience attending formal meetings and preparing reports

Strong knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and standards

Commitment to personal development and acquiring professional skills and qualifications

DBS disclosure and overseas criminal records checks, if applicable

Full UK driving license

Must have the Right to work in the UK without restrictions.
