Role: Electronics Test Technician.
Rate: £40pphr, outside IR35
Location: Staines-upon-Thames, Surrey. You will be required to work 4-5 days per week onsite.

Security Clearance Requirement: Applicants must currently hold or have held UK SC clearance within the past 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Conduct IPC-level inspections of electronic assemblies during production and pre-test stages
• Execute formal test procedures and accurately record results, including hardware, software, and firmware configurations
• Use standard test equipment to take precise measurements
• Identify and report discrepancies in test documentation

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to meet high standards under tight deadlines
• Direct collaboration experience with engineering teams
• Prior involvement in Defence-related projects
• IPC inspection certification
• BTEC qualification in Electronics (ONC/HNC/HND) or equivalent

• Proficient in using test equipment: digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, function generators, multimeters, and power supplies
• Capable of maintaining multiple production test and reference setups
• Skilled in fault diagnosis and repair at component level for both analogue and digital circuits
• Competent with Microsoft Office tools
• Must hold current UK SC clearance
• Self-motivated and eager to learn and grow professionally
• Advanced manual testing expertise
• Confident in using hand tools and electronic test equipment
• Able to interpret electronic/mechanical drawings and test specifications
