OverviewWe Group is looking for an enthusiastic and creative Marketing Executive to join our growing team. This role will suit someone with a passion for marketing in the events industry, who is eager to contribute to the growth of our three divisions: The Fair (festival production), We Are Placemaking (creative event production), and We Are OPS (event operations and health and safety), as well as our CEO Nick Morgan’s profile.
Working closely with the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Executive will be responsible for coordinating and executing a wide range of marketing activities. These include strategy, social media, newsletters, PR, websites, brand assets, and internal communications. The role will also include supporting the CEO’s industry presence through content creation and channel management.
The role is primarily based in Hackney, London, with hybrid working options available.
Attendance at live events, festivals, and industry gatherings will form part of the role.
Responsibilities
Work with the Marketing Manager to deliver and evaluate the marketing strategy across We Group, The Fair, We Are Placemaking, We Are OPS and the CEO.
Plan and execute content across websites, newsletters, and social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).
Create and manage innovative content, including capturing and editing photo/video at events.
Support website management (WordPress), blogs, case studies, and regular updates, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
Support brand development and ensure consistency across decks, templates, assets, and internal documentation.
Monitor and report on the growth and performance of marketing channels.
Collaborate with the wider team to create marketing content aligned with target clients and support award submissions.
Liaise with suppliers (e.g. website developers, photographers), ensuring cost-effective solutions.
Support industry representation by maintaining accurate knowledge of relevant sectors and keeping aligned with company stance on industry developments.
Present bi-annual marketing updates alongside the Marketing Manager.
Person Specification
A qualification in marketing or a relevant creative subject OR previous marketing / social media experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including articles and social media copy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and basic Excel.
Experience using and creating content for social media platforms.
Understanding of marketing strategy and tactics for development.
Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
A proactive, positive, and enthusiastic approach, with a strong team spirit.
Experience with video editing for social media content.
Knowledge of the independent culture sector and events industry publications.
Familiarity with analytics tools to track performance across digital platforms.
