Specialist Provision Officer 
Are you a passionate Specialist Provision Officer looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for a Specialist Provision Officer to work in a Children and Family Service, Ipswich.
Pay Rates: £20 per hour
Information the Role: Successful candidates will be offered 37 Hours a week. Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, Hybrid (2 days in the office, 3 days from home)
  
What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for the development and delivery of the SEND Sufficiency Plan to improve the local offer and outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
  • Once learners are placed within specialist provision, this service will ensure that commissioned providers effectively deliver outcomes for learners and take action where standards fall below our expectations.
  • Ensure the safety, well-being and learning of children and young people.
  • Ensure pupils with SEND make good progress.
  • To identify risk and safeguarding concerns and escalate immediately where appropriate.
  • Ensure that support is in place for the Specialist Provision Managers to ensure sound operational delivery of commissioning activity.
  • Support to ensure appropriate contracts are in place.
  • Take responsibility for issuing and administration of individual placement contracts working alongside the Specialist Placement Co-ordinator.
  • Assist Specialist Provision Managers with the management of the contract budget and use robust systems to monitor against actual expenditure.
  • Support the regular review and performance monitoring of providers, delivering administrative support to arrange and manage meetings.
Essential Requirements:
  • Suitable qualification at Level 4 or equivalent experience or evidence of skills in relevant area of work.
  • Knowledge of current children and young people’s disability services and structures available locally.
  • Experience or knowledge of special educational needs provision including alternative provision.
  • Understanding of the SEND reforms (2014) and Local Authority responsibilities in delivering the ‘Local Offer’
