Based in London and the Southeast (hybrid working; site visits required across London / Home Counties)My client is seeking an experienced BMS Technical Project Manager to oversee and deliver high-profile Building Management Systems projects across London and the Southeast. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing technical design, installation, commissioning and handover, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will act as the technical authority for BMS, liaising with clients, consultants and contractors to ensure successful outcomes.Key Responsibilities
Lead the technical delivery of BMS projects from design through to commissioning and handoverDevelop and manage project plans, budgets, schedules and risk assessmentsOversee subcontractors, suppliers and in-house engineering teams to ensure smooth deliveryEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations, industry standards and company protocolsManage testing, integration and commissioning of BMS hardware and software systemsControl project costs, track variations and maintain financial reportingEnsure all project documentation (drawings, OandM manuals, commissioning reports) is completed accurately and on timeAct as the key point of contact for clients, maintaining strong working relationshipsProvide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and commissioning staffDrive continuous improvement across project delivery and technical solutionsPerson Specification
Essential:3+ years'' experience in BMS project delivery (design, commissioning, integration) within commercial or large-scale developmentsIn-depth technical knowledge of BMS platforms, controllers, networking and integration protocolsStrong project management experience: budgets, scheduling, stakeholder managementExcellent communication and client-facing skillsStrong knowledge of health and safety and compliance in project environmentsDesirable:Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical / Mechanical / Controls / Building Services EngineeringProject management qualification (Prince2, APM or equivalent)Hands-on experience with leading platforms such as Trend, Schneider, Tridium, etc.Experience in sustainability, energy efficiency, smart buildings or IoT solutionsBenefits
