Senior Biomedical Scientist

An exciting opportunity has arisen to apply for a part time (15- hour/ 0.4 Whole- Time Equivalent) band 7 Advanced Specialist BMS position in the Chemistry Lab within the Hammersmith Hospital site of NWLP.In this role, you would constitute part of the two Whole Time Equivalent band 7 Senior staff primarily responsible for running the Chemistry Lab including the oversight of the operation of the Abbott Alinity Ci analysers and reporting directly to the Site Lead.You would be responsible for the day-to-day management of a section within the laboratory under the direction of the Site Lead including the provision of the necessary training and supervision of staff within the Chemistry Laboratory to ensure correct procedures and protocols are carried out. The lab is also privileged to provide a specialised Intra- operative Parathyroid monitoring service in Theatres.The laboratory also operates a 24-hour-seven- day -a-week service and therefore participation on Lates and weekend roster is required.You will need to possess a relevant professional qualification to degree level or equivalent, an MSc, FIBMS or equivalent in a relevant discipline and HCPC registration.
