A warm and inclusive primary school in London is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs on a full-time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child’s education and emotional development.

• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, Speech & Language, SEMH)

• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies

• Support the pupil both academically and emotionally throughout the school day

• Adapt tasks and materials to ensure accessibility and engagement

• Track and report on progress and behaviour, contributing to EHCP reviews and planning

• Experience working with children with SEND in a primary school setting

• Knowledge of strategies to support learning, behaviour, and communication

• Patient, empathetic, and consistent approach to working with children

• Ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or relevant qualification desirable

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
