CNC Turner-Supervisor

Contek are recruiting for a CNC Turner Supervisor-to work a day shift-in an established and very busy company in Bradford that have recently gone from strength to strength in all parts of their business.-

This role will require you to lead a team of machinists in the Turning section where you will help run the daily activity of the workshop and also Program, Set and Operate a CNC Lathe working a variety of components for a variety of industries where you will machining low volume complex components.

Responsibilities;

• As a CNC Turner Supervisor you will be leading a team of engineers, be the point of call for any machining questions and offer your expertise in machining methods or processes.
• Experience as a CNC Turner Programming, Setting and Operating lathes-using Fanuc, HAAS or XYZ.
• Comfortable working to complex drawings.
• Experience working with low volume work with components varying in sizes.
• Ability to work alone and off your own initiative or as a team when needed.-
• Allocate work load effectively to your team.-
• Some inspection of components to ensure machining processes are being carried out correctly and efficiently by yourself and your team.

Experience required;

• Experience using Fanuc, HAAS or XYZ
• Apprenticeship served or a solid engineering foundation.
• Ability to program.
• Happy to take the lead of a team and delegate effectively and fairly.-
• Ideally used to machining complex components

Hours:

Monday to Thursday
07:00 - 16:00

Friday
07:00 - 14:30
