Systems Engineer

Hybrid (3/4 days in the office) Market Harborough, Leicestershire

Salary: £27k-£32k + Benefits

Working Hours – 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday + On Call

The Systems Engineer will join a strong team who ensure the stable operation of the organisation’s Infrastructure.   This includes maintaining, supporting, deploying and optimising key functional areas with a focus on security.  The Systems Engineer will also be responsible for resolving support requests in a timely and accurate fashion, as well as provide recommendations and guidance on future architectural and technology improvements that impacts business performance and costs.

Essential:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience or a related educational qualification
• Strong technical mindset with a desire to learn
• An understanding of the modern-day security challenges in IT
• A strong working knowledge of hardware and networking components
• The ability to work unsupervised with strong self-motivation
• Experience with scripting and automation
• Experience with virtualization platforms
• Experience using SIEM platforms
• Experience with EDR and vulnerability scanning
• Knowledge of Windows Servers and Azure Cloud

 Desirable:

• Experience with ITIL, PCI and GDPR
• Driving Licence
• Programming experience with PowerShell, C# and\or Python
