ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESTo run the kitchen efficiently, cleanly and to the required standardsAdhere to all food safety procedures and standards at all timesPrepare all food on time ready for serviceEnsure good stock and waste control at all timesQuality check stock and prepared food, report anything that is deficient to managementProduce food that is consistently of a high standard and well presentedProduce each dish to specification that is supplied by Punch Taverns LtdWork with the whole team to ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchenKeep accurate records at all times e.g. dates/cleaning/temperature charts/food labellingWork 5 days out of 7 alternate weekendsPERSON SPECIFICATIONCRITERIAExperienceExperience of working in a busy kitchenWorking in food preparation and delivering food to a high standardWorking to a specification of supplied menu itemsDesirableExperience of running all areas of within a busy pub restaurant kitchenSKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEEssentialSolid understanding of food hygiene and health and safety standards including allergen controlAbility to rota staff as needed within budgetDesirableLevel 2 or above food safety and hygiene qualification or willing to work towardsKnowledge of stock control, portioning and reduction of food wastageABILITY/APTITUDE
