Cost Controller

Overview
Cost Controller role at INEOS Automotive. The role will be responsible for developing, controlling, planning, and forecasting GandA budget. You will support in the review of actuals versus budget input, including variance analysis for FPandA monthly executive reporting. As a newly formed Automotive business we are building our commercial landscape from scratch. This role will assist in supporting the development and implementation of cost control processes across the business. The role requires the ability to work with ambiguity as this is a new product with no history, and thus offers a unique opportunity to challenge assumptions but also help shape them.Responsibilities
Support annual Budget and Business Plan development and input to FPandAProvide department monthly actuals from SAPEnsure accruals are submitted to ensure actuals represent full monthPrepare monthly Actual versus Budget with department staff, establish variance analysis and prepare full year forecast when requestedHelp to identify opportunities, agree introductions, and monitor resultsLiaise between departments and Finance function (FPandA, Project Controller)Assume FIN controller function of 1st approval of PRs raised from departments coveredSupport departments to prepare projects and coordinate with Project ControllerPrepare ad-hoc analysisWhat we are looking for
Studying towards an Accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or relevant degree desired but not requiredMinimum of 2 years of Finance Analyst or similar experience. Key skills include experience in building/maintaining complex financial models and clear presentation of financial data, especially to non-financial individualsStrong Excel skills including pivot tables and advanced formulaeStrong quantitative and analytical skillsCommercial awareness, a positive attitude and “can-do” approach, comfortable to challenge at all levelsAbility to work well in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment, excellent time management and ability to prioritise workloadAttention to detail and ability to quickly master complex requirementsExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build long term professional relationships at all levelsAbility to think on your feet and adjust to an ever-changing landscape and to think outside the box and suggest novel solutions to problemsSeniority level
