The Role

Supply Desk is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic Design andamp; Technology (Dandamp;T) Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Hemel Hempstead from September 2025.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity to inspire students in a well-resourced environment with excellent departmental support. You''ll teach a range of Dandamp;T topics, helping students develop practical and creative problem-solving skills that prepare them for future pathways in design, engineering, and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons in Dandamp;T (product design, resistant materials, CAD/CAM, etc.)
• Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience is a plus)
• Plan practical and theory-based learning tailored to students'' abilities
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback
• Contribute to extra-curricular opportunities such as design clubs or STEM competitions
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve curriculum and student outcomes

You Will Need To:

• Hold QTS and have UK-based teaching experience in Design andamp; Technology
• Be confident in using tools, machinery, and CAD software
• Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Show a passion for design, innovation, and education
• Be able to build positive relationships with students and staff
• Hold or be willing to obtain a clear, enhanced DBS check
