Job SummaryTo be the Strategic Planning and Business Management lead for the Europe and UK Client Coverage business, responsible for delivering business requirements and results. Europe and UK is a USD 2bn origination income business in 2025 with strong growth ambitions. The role will drive business performance through:Facilitating the implementation of Bank-wide and Client Coverage initiativesSupporting discussions and decision-making at various forums/committeesDelivering efficiency, change, and business performance agendasResponsibilitiesBusiness Performance (Revenues and Returns)
Leading analysis of Revenues and Returns for CIB Europe and UKPreparing performance presentations for Europe MT, AG Management Board, and global/regional stakeholdersPartnering with Europe Finance to track performance to budget, identify risks and opportunitiesTracking frontline productivity and driving improvementsDefining and tracking Sub-Optimal reduction plansSupporting transaction approvals and monitoring accounts for RCAF commitmentsClient Portfolio Management and Engagement
Reviewing client onboarding requests and acting as approver for new client ID creationDriving client tail management processesManaging governance of the NPC framework and portfolioDelivering differentiated client propositions for Platinum and Gold clientsTracking coverage of client tiers and executing global coverage initiativesCollaborating on marketing and client engagement plansBusiness Strategy and Project Management
Defining and tracking go-to-market strategiesOrganising strategy days and preparing annual business plansLeading regional and segment projectsContinuous Improvement Initiatives
Staying updated on best practices and process optimizationPeople Agenda and Communication
Leading HR objectives, diversity targets, and succession planningManaging scorecard processes and regional HR initiativesOverseeing training programs and ensuring effective communicationRisk and Control
Authoring papers for risk committees and auditsLeading reviews with regulators and external auditorsSales Planning and Enablement
Managing pipeline meetings and account plansEnsuring quality of client engagement data and supporting global tool deploymentQualifications and Experience5+ years in coverage/corporate banking operations or strategy executionExperience in managing PnL, cross-sell initiatives, and performance trackingKnowledge of risk governance and regulatory environmentStrong project management, interpersonal, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and influence senior stakeholdersMasters or Bachelors degree, FINRA exam preferredAbout Standard CharteredWe are an international bank committed to making a positive difference.
