Managing the technical commission delivery in complex, dynamic and uncertain environments during the pre-conception, feasibility and early stages of projects, programmes and portfolios.Providing comprehensive in-depth technical capability from strategic commercial assessments and decisions and/or specialist capabilities to deploy in an advisory capacity across more than one client and/or sector.Technical aspects of projects and programmes or will bring specialist expertise to larger projects and programmes.Assessing client capabilities and developing strategic plans for value-based commercial arrangements.Undertaking supply chain risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies based on the findings.Guiding clients through the earliest stages of programme and portfolio set up and improvement, including identifying strategic vision, intended outcomes and the governance, decision making, delivery and quality frameworks / processes that will realise these.Supporting the development of bids.Providing strategic guidance and support to project teams to ensure successful project delivery.Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and shares responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the strategy definition.Stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation.Data analysis and trend identification at project, programme, portfolio levels.You’ll need to have:

Extensive understanding of, or experience in, the capabilities required to undertake delivery models and commercial advice at a strategic level.Excellent analytical skills - use of Excel and external data sources.Experience in the following at programme and portfolio level across property and built environment and/or infrastructure.Public Sector Construction experience.Ability to convert specialist technical knowledge into accessible format for clients.Apply technical knowledge to emerging technology and processes.Subject matter expert in at least one technical skill related to property or infrastructure.Experience of applying technical skills in a consultancy environment.Extensive experience of stakeholder management skills in a technical environment.Extensive experience of conducting structured or semi structured interviews relating to specialist subject matter.Excellent presentation skills and ability to provide high quality reports and visuals.Ability to work across a broad spectrum of projects and subject matter.Ability to work under pressure to achieve tight deadlines outside of the control of the project team.Ability to structure own work programme and lead a team producing output in a specialist subject area.Extensive level of applying technical specialist capability on complex projects and in an uncertain environment.Ability to work as part of a multi-professional team and communicate across the team and business.Ability to work as part of a team, taking on varied tasks to achieve commission milestones.Professional qualification with relevant chartership body preferred.You’ll also have:
