We are looking for a steady, reassuring presence to bolster our People team during a major transition to Workday. Working three days a week for six months (maternity cover), you’ll give the team extra bandwidth, keep service levels high, and help employees feel supported throughout the change.

Responsibilities
Lend hands-on support to wider HR initiatives, especially those linked to the Workday rollout.
Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including pre/post new joiner logistics, right-to-work processing, digital file management, employee eligibility and entitlements, holidays, and HR induction delivery.
Manage HR/Payroll Operations and HR Portal mailboxes, and respond to enquiries from within and outside the business in a timely manner.
Coordinate monthly payroll data preparation and reporting.
Maintain holiday and absence records across the UK and EMEA region.
Coordinate employee and company benefit data/schemes.
Create and maintain accurate employee records and data across HR/business systems.
Assist with salary reviews, bonuses and other HR processes.
Coordinate vendor/supplier documentation and invoice management.
Liaise with freelancers, contractors and third-party vendors.
Create and deliver analytical data/reports.
Involvement in HR projects as required.
Skills / Qualifications
Workday familiarity (highly desirable) or experience with comparable HRIS.
Calm, supportive demeanour; able to steady the team in a fast-moving environment.
Clear communicator—both written and verbal—across all organisational levels.
Strong multitasking, prioritisation, and time-management skills; unflappable under pressure.
Proven discretion when handling sensitive information.
Confident stakeholder management with solid business acumen.
First-class attention to detail and commitment to exceptional, customer-focused service.
Problem-solving mindset with ability to identify root causes and propose practical fixes.
Advanced MS 365 skills (Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
