An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Group Financial Accountant to join a high-profile retail business based in Manchester. This role offers the chance to play a pivotal part in a dynamic finance function within a well-established company that values innovation, technology, and data-led decision-making.

What You''ll Be Doing:

Monthly Reporting

Lead the monthly consolidation process using FCCSReview submissions from UK and international teams, flagging any issues for resolutionPrepare monthly consolidated financial statements for inclusion in the Group Performance PackCompile monthly cash flow statementsReconcile acquisitions, investments, and fixed assets at month-endForecasting and Budgeting

Deliver budgets, forecasts, five-year plans and cash flow projections for JVs, associates, and acquisition-related liabilitiesTechnical Accounting

Act as the go-to person for IFRS 16 queries and complianceProcess acquisition accounting entries through FCCSAnalyse the Group''s investment structure (including JVs and associates) and apply appropriate accounting treatmentsOversee Fixed Assets and CAPEX reportingInterim and Year-End Reporting

Prepare consolidated schedules and reports for interim and year-end accountsManage post-close adjustments and reflect them accurately in consolidated financialsDraft detailed notes to the financial statements for multiple areasProvide ad-hoc support during critical reporting periodsWhat We''re Looking For:

ACA / ACCA (or equivalent)Proven experience preparing financial statements under IFRSStrong working knowledge of a consolidation system (FCCS, HFM, or similar)Background in a complex, matrix-style commercial environmentCommercially aware with strong analytic skills and curiosity to dig into the numbersCapable of communicating technical finance matters to non-finance stakeholdersThis is a brilliant opportunity for a technically skilled accountant to join a commercially driven organisation and make a real impact.
