English Teacher – Secondary School (Start After Easter)

The Role
As an English Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and accessible lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality teaching that meets a range of learning needs, helping students to develop their literacy skills, confidence, and enjoyment of English.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative and differentiated English lessons

• Support students with varying abilities and additional needs

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment

• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and leadership

• Contribute to the wider school community and ethos

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Experience teaching English at secondary level

• A strong understanding of supporting students with additional needs

• Excellent classroom management skills

• A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
