Job DescriptionAre you a highly experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RGN) with a passion for delivering exceptional elderly care? Our prestigious care home in Wilmslow is seeking a compassionate and skilled RGN to join our dedicated clinical team on a full-time night shift basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior Staff Nurse to take a leading role in providing high-quality healthcare within our nursing home, ensuring the well-being and dignity of our residents. We are looking for a confident professional who can work autonomously and provide mentorship to others.
Key Responsibilities
Provide outstanding, person-centred nursing care to our elderly residents, acting as a senior Staff Nurse.
Conduct thorough medication rounds, ensuring the safe administration and management of medicines.
Work without supervision during night shifts, using your initiative and clinical expertise to manage resident needs and lead the care team.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans.
Supervise and support Healthcare Assistants and other members of the care team.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in line with NMC standards.
Work in partnership with the Deputy Manager and Clinical Lead to ensure the highest standards of care are met.
Uphold all policies and procedures, including infection control and health and safety protocols.
Essential Requirements
Valid NMC PIN as a Registered General Nurse (RGN).
A minimum of five years'' post-qualification experience as a Staff Nurse or RGN within a care home or nursing home setting.
Extensive and proven experience in elderly care.
Confident and competent in leading medication rounds and complex clinical care.
Ability to work without supervision and demonstrate strong clinical decision-making skills.
A genuine passion for working in a care home environment and providing dignified elderly care.
Desirable Skills
Experience in mentoring or supervising other staff members.
Strong leadership qualities and the ability to act as a role model.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
