Extra Care Support Worker - Evenings and Weekends - Lymington. Social Care in Action is supporting people in our Extra Care sites to stay safe and well. Our Extra Care Schemes support individuals to remain in their own homes with person-centred care to enable them to live as independently as possible whilst taking into account their choices and respecting their human rights. SCA work closely with other agencies including CQC, adult services, local GP practices and the local community.The team at SCA Care believes that helping people live the life they want to lead is extremely important. Our Extra Care Schemes are developments that comprise self-contained homes and SCA Care provide support to tenants to enable self-care and independent living. A Support Worker’s role can be wide and varied; no two days are the same. Here is an idea of what you could be doing:Promoting and encouraging independence, whilst assisting the people we support with their daily routinesIdentifying new opportunities for integration, participation and inclusion within our services and the communityProviding quality personal care, which could include bathing, etc., with respect and sensitivityParticipating in household tasks (cleaning, cooking, ironing, washing) while encouraging involvementEngaging in conversation and building rapport with the people we supportA full detailed job description can be provided upon request and will be given as part of our recruitment process.Benefits
