Melbourne Montessori College (MMC) seeks to appoint an accomplished and strategic educational leader to step into the role of Head of Campus – Brighton (Senior School). This is a rare opportunity to lead a thriving, values-based community that is renowned for its inclusive pedagogy, strong pastoral care, and commitment to Montessori principles.The Head of Campus will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Senior School, providing visible and confident leadership for students, staff, and families. Responsible for elevating the professionalism and operational clarity of the campus, the Head of Campus will implement clear processes and expectations and drive continuous improvement in curriculum and communication practices. With direct responsibility for approximately 100 students and 30 staff, the Head of Campus will foster a culture of high performance, accountability, trust, respect and inclusion, while nurturing strong and lasting relationships across the school community.The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Senior School leader, preferably with Montessori experience, who brings a strong external presence and the ability to represent MMC confidently. Demonstrating a deep affinity with the school’s philosophical principles, the appointee will possess the capacity to embed these values throughout the campus. The background of the successful candidate will include leading curriculum strategy, mentoring and growing staff capacity, and increasing academic rigour within a school community. The appointee will be adept at managing change, addressing learning gaps, communicating clearly with the school community and building cohesion among staff, all while maintaining a positive and inclusive culture.The Organisation

MMC is an independent, co-educational school that offers Montessori education in Melbourne, to children aged from 18 months (walking). Programs include Parent and Toddler playgroups, an Early Learning Program, a Junior School and a Senior School. The Senior School also offers the globally recognised International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for students in Years 11 and 12.Learning environments are prepared for children and adolescents at each developmental stage and allow each child to build responsibility for their own learning.
