Project detailsYou will be working on a 4-year framework recently secured with Somerset County Council, focused on Highways and Infrastructure works. Projects include remedial works on existing bridge structures and other civil engineering schemes, with individual values ranging between £2 to £3 million.

Responsibilities

Provide regular updates to the Contracts Manager on project progress, including budget, programme, and design issues.

Ensure that health and safety standards and industry regulations are strictly adhered to on site.

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns and attending regular project meetings.

Prepare, verify, and implement designs on-site in line with the relevant specifications and drawings.

Requirements

Valid CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid certificates.

Proven experience managing highways and earthworks projects.

Strong understanding of construction health and safety protocols.

Excellent communication skills.

A relevant HND/HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Salary and benefits

£60,000 - £65,000 per annum

Car allowance or company vehicle

27 days holiday plus Bank Holidays

Enhanced pension contributions - employer contributions 7.5%
