EpicorThe Solution Engineer, Principal serves as a trusted partner to the salesforce (direct and channel) by providing in-depth knowledge of the technical and functional requirements across multiple Epicor Product lines, translating business use cases into demonstrations in order to close ERP sales opportunities.

What You Will Be Doing

Establish outstanding business relationships and partnerships with clients by demonstrating a high level of technical expertise, understand performance characteristics and establish credibility with the clients.Gather requirements from clients, including those for system modifications, and write detailed technical specifications to communicate needs to the Product Development team and other Solution Engineers.Communicate with the sales team on new business opportunities, translate client’s technical requirements to solution, drive the technical discussions, deliver custom demonstrations, and implement technical proofs-of-concept.Coach and Support Solution Engineers by providing technical guidance and collaboration in designing, building, testing modifications and proofs-of-concept tailored to client needs for demonstrations.Influence target clients by presenting company products, values and benefits and by demonstrating product architectures, plus assisting with cost evaluation and pricing issues.

What You Will Likely Bring

A keen interest in ground-breaking technologies for example AI with the ability to communicate and instruct users at all levels of technical abilityMinimum of 5 years of experience of presales within the ERP industry or equivalent operational ERP experience and experience in the business operational side of manufacturing and distribution companies.Background of success in supporting both direct and channel salesDocumented experience of giving customer presentations / demonstrationsSuccessful candidates may have worked for companies such as: SAP, Microsoft, Infor, Sage, NetSuite or other ERP companies or Value Added Resellers (VARs).Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).

Technical Skills

Proficiency in C# programming language for customizing and extending Epicor ERP functionalities.Experience with REST API integration and Visual Studio; Knowledge of low-code/no-code development tools, including Workato or similar platforms, to connect Epicor ERP with third-party applications and services.Strong expertise in SQL and database technologies (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server) for data management, querying, and optimization within Epicor ERP environments.Familiarity with database architecture, performance tuning, Business Intelligence tools and data migration processes related to ERP systems.Proficiency in JavaScript for enhancing Epicor ERP customizations and front-end development.Experience with Node-RED for workflow automation and integration within ERP environments.Proven ability to capture client requirements for system modifications and write clear, detailed technical specifications.
