Building Safety Surveyor
Building Safety Surveyor is required to work within the Building Safety team and the wider consultancy of a multidisciplinary practice providing integrated design and build services. Duties include: Conducting fa ade and internal fire safety risk assessments and investigations. Producing detailed technical reports supported by photographic evidence. Conducting regular site inspections to monitor construction quality, safety and compliance. Ensuring all built elements align with approved drawings, specifications and standards. Identifying and reporting defects, risks and non-conformances. Maintaining clear site records, photos and concise inspection reports. Working with contractors and project teams to resolve issues promptly. Conducting peer reviews. Ensuring projects progress safely, efficiently and to the required standard. Completing EWS1 (External Wall System) form for buildings between 11-18m. Whilst the majority of work is across London and the South East, further travel is expected. Experience A good technical understanding of building regulations, NHBC standards, high rise buildings and fa ades is required for this role. Experience of inspecting fire safety measures in new build and construction projects. Qualifications Level 6 construction qualification or hold an HNC/HND/construction-related degree. Membership of one of the following: RICS / CIOB / CABE / ICWCI / MIFireE, would be beneficial but is not essential. This is a hybrid working role. The company offers a
