Job responsibilities

Provide high-quality, safe, and effective medical care to patients.Diagnose, manage, and treat acute and chronic conditions.Prescribe medications and treatments in line with best practice and NHS guidelines.Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.Work collaboratively with the practice team, including nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative staff.Participate in clinical audits, governance, and quality improvement initiatives.Contribute to health promotion and patient education programs.Attend practice meetings, CPD sessions, and training opportunities.Supervise and support GP Registrars and medical students where appropriate.Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

A vocationally trained and accredited GP, preferably MRCGPCurrent registration with the GMCExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work as part of a multi-disciplinary teamAbility to work with limited supervisionIT proficiency and familiarity with primary care clinical systems (the practice uses TPP SystmOne)Excellent time keepingExceptional team playerDesirable

Good understanding of GMS contracting requirements and QoFExperience and an interest in a specific disease areaDisclosure and Barring Service Check
