Transport Manager (Air Freight and European Haulage)Location: SloughSalary: £50,000 - £60,000+ per annum (DOE)Hours: Monday to Friday 10-hour day shiftContract: PermanentVanta Staffing are recruiting an experienced Transport Manager on behalf of a well-established and highly respected logistics operation specialising in air freight and European haulage.This role is a proactive replacement within an established Transport Management team and offers an excellent opportunity for a specialist professional to step into a key leadership position.Outstanding candidates will be well rewarded.The RoleYou will be responsible for the safe, compliant and efficient management of a busy HGV fleet, working alongside two other experienced Transport Managers.This position requires strong regulatory knowledge, commercial awareness, and hands-on leadership in a fast-paced, time-critical logistics environment.Key ResponsibilitiesFull responsibility for O-Licence compliance, DVSA and Traffic Commissioner standardsMaintain accurate fleet and operator data via the Gov.uk Vehicle Operator Licence portalManage vehicle planners, fleet documentation and preventative maintenance schedulesEnforce VOR policy and minimise fleet downtimeMonitor driver defect reporting and ensure complianceManage tachograph downloads, infringements and WTD reportingReview driver performance and deliver corrective trainingOversee driver licence and DCPC compliance via RHA systemsManage vehicle defect tracking and daily handove
