As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a Labour Scheduler to join their dynamic contracts team at their Hertford head office. If you''re mission-driven, highly organised, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Responsibilities
As a Labour Scheduler, you''ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless delivery of projects by managing and coordinating labour schedules. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Customer Coordination: Contacting customers to arrange site attendance.
- Labour Planning: Liaising with Project Managers and Site Supervisors to meet labour requirements.
- Schedule Management: Maintaining and updating the labour schedule and tracker.
- Information Distribution: Issuing critical information to site teams.
- Budget Oversight: Updating budget trackers and ensuring cost efficiency.
- Subcontractor Management: Obtaining quotations, negotiating prices, and raising purchase orders using Sage.
- Site Support: Collating and saving site team information on the company server.
- Installer Administration: Tracking expenses, leave, and training records for directly employed installers.
- Logistics Coordination: Organising hire equipment, travel, and accommodation as required.
Qualifications
To excel in this Labour Scheduler role, you''ll need:
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Previous experience in a similar role (advantageous but not essential).
- Familiarity with Sage or similar accounts systems (preferred).

Your day as a Labour Scheduler will be dynamic and varied, involving close collaboration with internal teams, subcontractors, and customers. From scheduling labour and managing budgets to coordinating logistics and ensuring compliance with training requirements, you''ll be at the heart of the company''s operations.
