Systems Support Engineer

My client is a leading global provider performance software, using cutting edge technology. They are recruiting experienced and versatile System Support Engineer to join their Support Desk team, it is a hybrid role with two main areas of responsibility: Providing both expert technical support to their customer base, focusing on system-level issues related to the installation and operation of their software and also acting as the primary point of contact for internal IT support within the company, ensuring the smooth running of our local network, hardware, and virtualised environments. You will need to demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills across Windows OS, networking, Firewalls, and virtualisation, with a proactive approach to problem-solving for both external customers and internal colleagues, as well as having previous experience of supporting software products/applications. Excellent inter-personal skills are essential for this hybrid opportunity, certifications in IT related technologies and infrastructure would be a definite bonus and ideally you will live in easy commuting distance of Stroud in Gloucestershire, as there will be the need to attend the office at short notice to deal with issues. An attractive salary of between £40,000 and £50,000 plus benefits are on offer for the right candidate
